About Donna
Donna has worked within the field of supporting the social and emotional mental health of families since 2002. Donna also assesses individual’s mental health in order to make appropriate referrals to help individuals out of homelessness.
Donna has supported parents and their children who experience PTSD, DEPRESSION, Personality Disorder, Domestic Abuse, attachment disorder, behaviour modification using therapeutic practices such as watch, wait and wonder, solution focused therapy and mindfulness practices.
Donna has trained as a facilitator in parenting courses (PPAP, Freedom Programme, Solihull, Watch, wait and wonder) and has developed and delivered training to staff and other professionals.
Donna received her Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction/Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy training with Bangor University Teacher Training 7 day programme early 2014 taught by Taravajra MA Mindfulness Based Approaches Bangor University and Karunavira Msc Mindfulness Based Approaches both with 20 to 30 years experience in mental health and meditation practices currently training NHS staff in Sussex.
Donna is the chair of John Cabot Academy PTA group and organises fund raising events for the school.
Donna recently received training in London from Sarah Silverton and Dominique Morris to deliver .b foundations a mindfulness based approach course for teachers developed by teachers to address high levels of stress and burnout within the field.
